  Alberta Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Alberta, Canada was granted on May 30, 1907 by King Edward VII. Supporters and a motto were added in 1980 by Queen Elizabeth II. The crest features the Rocky Mountains, wheat fields, and St. George's Cross (which is an allusion to the Hudson's Bay Company). The motto, Fortis et Liber, means "strong and free"[2].
