Calutta Flag (India 1906)
The Calutta Flag was first displayed on August 7, 1906. It was designed by Schindra Prasad Bose. It served as one of the first unofficial flags of India. It is a vertical tricolor of orange, yellow, and green. The orange stripe depicts eight half-opened lotus flowers. The green stripe depicts a sun and a crescent moon. The middle yellow stripe contains Sanskrit writing[1].
