Canada Flag (1957)
This is the defacto flag of Canada from 1957-1965. It is similar to the national flag that was used from 1921-1957. It features a red background and a Union Jack in the canton. A shield is depicted on the right side of the flag, which is very similar to the shield depicted in the current coat of arms. It features three red lions (symbolic of England), a red lion rampant (symbolic of Scotland), three fleur-de-lis (symbolic of France), a harp (symbolic of Ireland), and three red maple leaves (symbolic of Canada)[1].
