Canary Islands Flag
The flag of the Canary Islands was adopted on August 16, 1982. It is a vertical tricolour of white, blue, and yellow. The nation's coat of arms is located in the center. It was designed in 1961 by Carmen Sarmiento and her sons Arturo and Jesus Cantero Sarmiento. The flags origins lie in the Canarias Libre movement of the 1960s[1].

  Canary Islands Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of the Canary Island was adopted on August 16, 1982. It features seven grey islands on a blue shield, which represents the islands' volcanic origins. It is supported by two dogs, from which the islands may derive their name, as it was thought that the fierce dogs the Romans who visited the island's were of the breed Presa Canario, and the Romans made note of this[2].
