Czech Republic Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of the Czech Republic is a shield that is divided into four quadrants, each representing a historic region of the nation. The upper left and lower right quadrants features a white doubled-tailed lion on a red background, which represents Bohemia. The upper right quadrant depicts a red-and-silver checkered eagle, which represents Moravia. The lower left quadrant depicts a black eagle, with a "clover stalk" across its breast on a yellow background, which represents Silesia. The coat of arms dates back to the 13th Century AD, when the Holy Roman Emperor granted it to King Vladislav II[1].
