Delaware Flag
The flag of Delaware was adopted on July 24, 1913, although a similar flag was used by regiments from the state during the American Civil War. It features a buff-colored diamond in the middle of a colonial blue background. The state's coat of arms is located within the diamond. Below the diamond, the date December 7, 1787 is written, which is the date when Delaware became the first state to ratify the Constitution. The colors derive from the uniform of General George Washington[1].
