Georgia Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Georgia was adopted on October 1, 2004. It features two golden lions supporting a red shield. The shield contains an image of St. George riding a horse and slaying a dragon with his spear. The arms partially derive from the medieval arms of the Georgian royal house of Bagrationi. A banner below the shield contains the nation's motto "Strength is in Unity", written in the Mkhedruli script of the Georgian alphabet[1].
