Grenada Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Grenada was adopted in 1974 following the nation's independence from the United Kingdom. It features a shield supported by an armadillo (standing before a corn stalk) and a Grenada Dove (standing before a banana plant). The shield is divided into four quadrants by a yellow cross. Christopher Columbus's flagship, the Santa Marie, is depicted in the center of the cross. The upper left and lower right quadrants depict a yellow British lion on a red field. The upper right and lower left quadrants depict a yellow crescent out of which a lily grows on a green background. A scroll at the bottom contains the national motto "Ever Conscious of God We Aspire, Build and Advance as One People"[1].

  Grenada Flag
The flag of Grenada was adopted on February 7, 1974 after the nation had gained its independence from the United Kingdom. It was designed by Anthony C. George. The flag has a red border with six yellow stars (three on top and three on bottom), each which represent one of the nation's six provinces. The inside of the flag is a field that is comprised of two yellow triangles and two green triangles. A red disc with a yellow star is depicted in the center of the flag and is representative of the nation's capital: Saint George's. A clove of nutmeg is depicted on the hoist side of the flag, as this is one of the countries most important crops. Red stands for vitality and courage. Yellow is symbolic of wisdom and warmth. Green represents agriculture and vegetation[2].
