Kingdom of Egypt Flag (1922-1953)
This is the historical flag of the Kingdom of Egypt that was used from 1922 until 1953. It features a white crescent that encircles three white stars, all centered on a green field. King Fuad issued the flag by Royal Decree. Green is symbolic of Islam. The three stars represent Egypt, Nubia, and Sudan, which were the three major territories of the Kingdom. Others view the stars are representing Islam, Judaism, and Christianity[1].
