South Africa Flag (1928)
This is the historical flag of South Africa that was used between 1928 and 1994. The design is based on the Van Riebeeck flag, or Prinsevlag ("Prince's flag"), which was originally the Dutch flag. It is a horizontal tricolour consisting of three equal bands of orange, white, and blue. The small flags are depicted in the center of the flag. They are the Union Jack, the flag of the Orange Free State, and the flag of Transvaal (also called the Transvaal Vierkleur)[1].
