Krakow Coat of Arms

The coat of arms of the city of Krakow, Poland was formally adopted on October 9, 2002. However, the use of the arms dates as far back as the 16th century. It depicts three red towers above a red brick wall. A gate is located in the center of the wall where two golden doors are opened. A crowned white eagle is depicted inside of the gate, representing the fact that Krakow was the seat of the Polish Kings from around 1040 until 1596[1].
