Kyrgyzstan Flag

The flag of Kyrgyzstan features a yellow sun with 40 rays, each representative of one of the 40 Kyrgyz tribes that unified under the hero Manas against the Mongols, on a red field. In the center of the sun is a red ring crossed by two sets of three lines, which is a depiction of the tündük, or traditional dome of a Kyrgyz yurt. The flag was adopted on March 3, 1992. The color red is symbolic of bravery and valor. The sun represents peace and wealth[1].
