Los Angeles Flag
The flag of the city of Los Angeles, California was designed by Roy E. Silent and E.S. Jones in 1931 for the city's sesquicentennial. It consists of three horizontal notched stripes of green, gold and red. The colors represent trees, orange groves, and vineyards, respectively. The colors also are symbolic of Spain and Mexico, the two nation that controlled the area before the United States. The city's seal is depicted in the center of the flag[1].
