Madison Flag
The flag of the city of Madison, Wisconsin was adopted on April 12, 1962. It features a diagonal band that runs from the upper right corner to the lower left corner of a light blue field. The design is symbolic of the isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. A black depicted in the center of the flag, which symbolizes four lakes (Mendota, Monona, Wingra and Waubesa). An Indian Sun symbol is overlaid on the cross in yellow. The flag was designed by Rick Stone, Dennis Stone, and John Price[1].
