Piaui Flag
The flag of Piaui was adopted on July 24, 1922. It features a field of alternating green and yellow stripes (representing Piauí's union with Brazil) and a blue canton that contains a single white star (representing the state itself). The words "13 DE MARÇO DE 1823" were added below the star to commemorate the date of the Battle of Jenipapo, a military engagement that occurred during Brazil's war of independence, however, our gifts below do not feature this modification[1].
