Polk's Flag (First Corps Army of Tennessee)
This historical flag from the American Civil War is known as Polk's Flag. It was flown by the First Corps, Army of Tennessee. The unit existed from November 1862 until April of 1865. The flag was named after the unit's first commander, Lt. Gen. Leonidas Polk. It features a red St. George's cross, outlined in white, on a blue field. Eleven five-pointed white stars are arranged evenly within the cross[1].
