Rough Riders Flag
This is the regimental standard of the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry, better known as the "Rough Riders", commanded by Theodore Roosevelt during the Spanish American War. The flag was used at the battle of San Juan Hill. The flag is based on the Model 1887 Regular Army cavalry flag, and it was hand painted by Horstman Brothers of Philadelphia[1].
