San Antonio Flag
The flag of the city of San Antonio, Texas was designed in 1935 by William Herring deputy commander City flag of the Texas Department of United War Veterans. The flag was unofficially adopted in the same year by the the city commissioners, but was not formally adopted until 1976. It features a field divided between blue (representing loyalty) and red (representing the blood of Texans). A large white star, the Lone Star of Texas, is depicted in the center of the flag. A depiction of the Alamo is superimposed on the star. The words San Antonio and Texas were removed from the flag in 1992[1].
