Saskatchewan Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of Saskatchewan was granted on August 25, 1906 by King Edward VII. The upper portion of the shield features a red lion passant on a yellow background. The lower portion of the shield gold sheaves of wheat on a green background, which represents the province's agriculture. The arms were supplemented on September 16, 1986 by proclamation of Queen Elizabeth II. The shield is supported by a royal lion and a white-tailed deer, who are both wearing collars featuring First Nations beadwork and badges of the Order of Saskatchewan. A motto at the bottom reads "Multis e gentibus vires", meaning "from many peoples strength"[1].

  Saskatchewan Flag
The flag of Saskatchewan is a horizontal bicolor featuring two equal bands of green (top) and yellow (bottom). The province's coat of arms (shield only) is depicted in the upper left corner of the flag. A western red lily is located in the fly. The yellow represents prairie wheat-field and the green represents forests. The flag was adopted on September 22, 1969 and designed by Anthony Drake[2].
