Texas Navy Flag
The Texas Navy Flag, modeled after the flag of the United States, featured a field of alternating red and white horizontal stripes and a blue canton that depicts a single white star. The flag itself was derived from a flag used by James Long in 1818 during an attempt to separate Texas from Spain. It was said to have been "beneficial to our [Texan] Navy and Merchantmen" due to its resemblance to the US flag[1].
