Third Confederate National Flag (1865)
This is the Third Confederate national flag that was known as "the Blood Stained Banner" and was adopted on March 4, 1865. It features a white field with a Confederate Battle flag in the canton. Additionally, a vertical red stripe is depicted in the hoist, which was proposed by Major Arthur L. Rogers, as to ensure that the flag not be mistaken for a white flag of truce[1].
